I am a native Oregonian. I grew up in the mid-Willamette Valley, hunting, fishing, and camping from the start. I love the outdoors and have enjoyed many of the opportunities for outdoor recreation Oregon has to offer. Kokanee Storm Tackle was born out of a passion for fishing and my general compulsiveness for tinkering and improving my fishing tackle. The products on this site are all made by my design and been tested, proven fish catchers! I want to offer products that are new, innovative, and different from the mass produced offerings by large retailers. I have truly been “Caught in the Storm”. I hope you will be also.

Went fishing in Colorado where the gill lice made it a rough trip. Your cat 5 hurricane hoochies out fished the others 3 to 1. I just placed another order,
    thanks,

      Hello Bill,
I will be honest. I had to look up gill lice. I had heard that Blue Mesa had Copepods which are a type of lice that affect fish. In Northern California they leave sores on the sides of fish so they are different. I hope they figure out how to deal with them. Glad to hear you are having success with the CAT 5’s They work great for me also. Keep checking the web site I will be introducing new lures soon! So far in testing they work fantastic also.

      Good Fishing,

I used your lure making kit for the KPO tournament at “Wickiup” used at Crane Prairie and caught 2 Kokanee. The Kokanee I used to weigh in won the junior division and it worked well for that lake! Thanks, Sydney.

Rick I bought some halo spinners from you at Willamette valley Sportsman Show but forgot to ask you what you recommend for distance to run them at behind dodger.

    • R. Norris

I generally run them about 15″ behind my dodgers but they certainly will work either longer or shorter if you prefer. 15″ works well for me. Thanks for stopping by the show!
